PSA: consider this the only time I will ever advertise planning a wedding in two days is even possible.
For Erin and Parker’s wedding, we had already made a few backup scenarios over the last several months, but to be honest, we thought when we made it to the week of their big day – we were golden! Well, the Lord (and the KY governor) had other plans and thought, “Let’s twist things up once more!” So, Thursday morning (yes, two days before their wedding day), we re-do everything. Yep. Cut the guest list to immediate family, moved rehearsal dinner to the main reception dinner, call every tent renter in town to see if we can put our hands on a white ceiling tent WITH WALLS + HEATERS (that was going to be key here), find a local rental company to supply tables, linens, lounge, all the things (Amy with All Occasions is an actual angel), and here’s the result…a wedding day that could be taken for plan A.
I may say “just trust me” a little too often with a couple, but Erin’s trust in me is what made it possible to pull off a whole new day. I knew her, I knew what she liked/disliked, I knew what was important to her and her groom. There really wasn’t time to confirm details with Erin or ask her to pick from options – so, the tufted sofa, velvet linens, extra full centerpieces, candles galore – the first time she saw them was when she and Parker were introduced into the reception as Mr. & Mrs.
And they made no exception keeping in theme with all of our weddings – a full dance floor all. night. long!
I have to say, Erin + Parker (and their families) handled everything amazingly! It’s okay to have the heartbreak of a failed or changed plan, but none of them stayed there long because they kept perspective on what the day ultimately meant.
As I save the best for last, these vendors deserve extra praise and noting because they made it seem like this wasn’t the first time we had ever worked together – and thanks to them, I can’t wait to do another wedding in Louisville.

To say it was a beautiful day would be the ultimate understatement. Sarah was incredible as everyone pulled together to create a day that truly beat the odds. Not surprised since we had been #bettingonharris all along. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. A grateful groom’s mother.
Looking at the pictures, it is hard to imagine the number of plans that were changed or shifted for this wedding; all in the middle of a pandemic. It was an amazing wedding and reception. Sarah worked with Erin and Parker every step of the way and made it look effortless. We are so grateful for all that was done for their special day. Thank you!
